Team SAFE-T (School and Family Emergency Training): A California Partnership for Safety and Preparedness is an alliance of public and private partnerships, dedicated to integrating safety and preparedness in public schools throughout California. Team SAFE-T's annualized school-based educational materials will teach age-appropriate emergency information and preparedness skills for students in grades K-12. The program is the first interactive all-hazards approach of its kind in America, and program resources are the first educational materials to be approved for use in California schools in more than a decade.

During the week students, administrators and faculty will be involved in safety and preparedness lessons that cover emergency situations and natural/man-made disasters. Parents are invited to attend a family assembly where Emergency Responders will address families on how to create a family emergency plan and improve their preparedness skills.
